Poseidon was the God of the Sea, but was also known as an ‘Earth-Shaker’. He lived in a wonderful palace under the sea and married Amphitrite, whom he was not very faithful to. With his huge trident he shook waves and caused storms, horrible weather and floods. He rode the waves in his golden carriage, carried by white horses with golden manes, without getting wet! As God of the Sea he also often liked to conquer land and so he fought Athena and Hera, without success though. The composer takes you on a journey to experience Poseidon´s myth. |
