| For many decades now, jazz music is very popular with various entertainment bands and also many wind bands have put jazz music on their repertoire. “Swinging the Blues and Dixie” is a composition, written in this style. This piece with intermediate difficulty level consists of two different musical styles: a blues and Dixieland piece. The contrast between both styles make it a very interesting piece. The blues has a somewhat slower swing-feel, while the Dixie-part has a faster even feel. Success guaranteed! |
