| Jewish sentimental songs in a nutshell, would probably be the best way to describe this short piece. Fragments of those typical Jewish songs pass by. Sometimes exalted, sometimes solemn, but always with that sad mood in the background, which characterizes the Jewish musical vocabulary. In one´s imagination several Jewish celebrations and memorials are depicted: Bar Mitzwa, receiving the sons in the Jewish community, Kol Nidrej, preceding the Yom Kippur, representing everything that went wrong and Rosj Hasjana, the exuberant New Year´s celebration.
